When Kelly came to me looking for a custom invitation design, I knew it was going to be a fun project. She came prepared with a beautiful inspiration board that made the design process that much easier. Not only was she a doll to work with, she had an amazing theme for her wedding - a New Year's Eve Bash in Chicago - 60's style. So fun, right? Martha Stewart Weddings

I am extremely delighted to announce that Bow & Arrow was featured in the Summer issue of Martha Stewart Wedding magazine! Tomorrow I'll be sharing the design, along with a few photos of the featured wedding. All the hard work and long nights (and too many paper cuts to count) have paid off. Thanks Martha!

Vacation Booked!

This weekend we booked a vacation for our first anniversary! On Labor Day weekend we'll be driving down the coast to Palm Springs and will be staying at The Saguaro. I'm so excited to spend a few days at the Joshua Tree and lounge by the pool. Doesn't this place look fun?

To the most amazing Mother - thank you for all that you have done for me, everything that you have taught me and for supporting me through absolutely everything. Through you I have learned how to be patient, how to be kind and that you can do anything you set your mind to. You are my #1 cheerleader, my role model and my best friend.

A Modern Farmhouse

I'm in love with this modern farmhouse in Chester, South Carolina. One of our dreams is to buy an old farmhouse, completely restore it and turn it into our home. I'm sure it's an extreme amount of work but if this is what the end product could look like, then it's totally worth it. See more photos here.

In the Studio

More custom designs I've been working on lately. Lots of destination wedding this year! Would you ever have a getaway wedding or did you have one? If I had to pick a place for a destination wedding I think it would be one of the Greek islands - Mamma Mia style. When we were in Greece, we saw a few weddings taking place. The brides ride in on donkeys, thought that was fun.

Napa is quickly becoming one of my favorite places so I was pretty excited to stumble upon Alexis' Blog all about Napa. She has great tips on where to find less known restaurants and wineries. Be sure to check it out if you're planning a trip to wine country.

In the Studio

One of the main reasons I haven't been blogging the past few months is because it's prime wedding invitation season so I've been busy creating invitations for couples all over the globe. It's been a delight working with all the couples I've worked with so far. Here are a few of the invitations I've been working on. I will be adding a few more designs in the shop by the end of May when I'll be announcing some exciting news!  

Speaking of my shop, you may notice a few changes. That's because I recently changed links since the original shop was under my old name bklynstitch. Things seem more organized this way.
