This time next week we'll be leaving for our trip to LA and Palm Springs. Whenever I think of Palm Springs, I think of the 90210 episode where Dylan and Brenda skip school and go to Palm Springs instead. Anyone?
Here's a list of a few things that I'm packing my bag with.1. Beach Blanket // 2. Floppy Hat // 3. Backpack // 4. Bathing Suit // 5. Sunglasses

Last night, my husband and I had a long conversation about travel and we listed all of the places we want to go. That list is pretty long but one of the places that is in the top ten is Morocco. I would go just for the textiles and patterns alone. Where's one place you're dying to go?Top three photos from the Free People Blog. Bottom photo from Pinterest.

A dream of mine is to find an old, rundown barn and completely renovate and convert it into a home like this one. Sounds like a lot of work but I'm sure the outcome would be way worth it. Find more converted barns here.

Tomorrow will mark our 6 month anniversary living in California. (Crazy!) One of my favorite parts of living here is that there's always somewhere new to go so we make it a point to try and go someplace different every weekend. Here are a few of the places we've gotten to see so far. California is a beautiful place.

One of my favorite things about our new home is that we have a pretty large deck and with all the sunshine that California gets, we've been able to start our very own garden. We're currently growing tomatoes, green peppers, mint, basil, chives, rosemary and parsley. Since we have to keep in mind the lack of rain we also have a few different varieties of drought friendly succulents. Gardening is pretty addicting.

It's been a while since I've said "hello". With wedding season in full swing, I really had to prioritize what I did with my time and blogging just didn't seem to fit in anywhere. Although I still have a pretty tight schedule, I thought it would be best if I popped in from time to time to share updates. Stay tuned for my next CA related post showing all the fun weekend trips we've been taking.

When Kelly came to me looking for a custom invitation design, I knew it was going to be a fun project. She came prepared with a beautiful inspiration board that made the design process that much easier. Not only was she a doll to work with, she had an amazing theme for her wedding - a New Year's Eve Bash in Chicago - 60's style. So fun, right? You can view more of their wedding photos at Martha Stewart Weddings.

I am extremely delighted to announce that Bow & Arrow was featured in the Summer issue of Martha Stewart Wedding magazine! Tomorrow I'll be sharing the design, along with a few photos of the featured wedding. All the hard work and long nights (and too many paper cuts to count) have paid off. Thanks Martha!

This weekend we booked a vacation for our first anniversary! On Labor Day weekend we'll be driving down the coast to Palm Springs and will be staying at The Saguaro. I'm so excited to spend a few days at the Joshua Tree and lounge by the pool. Doesn't this place look fun?

To the most amazing Mother - thank you for all that you have done for me, everything that you have taught me and for supporting me through absolutely everything. Through you I have learned how to be patient, how to be kind and that you can do anything you set your mind to. You are my #1 cheerleader, my role model and my best friend.
I love you Mom!
Happy Mother's Day to all you Mama's out there!

I'm in love with this modern farmhouse in Chester, South Carolina. One of our dreams is to buy an old farmhouse, completely restore it and turn it into our home. I'm sure it's an extreme amount of work but if this is what the end product could look like, then it's totally worth it. See more photos here.
