Around Town and Updates

 

The last month or so we've been traveling and exploring as much as we can. We drove down Highway 1 to Pescadero and found a quaint goat farm called Harley Farms. We picnicked in a Redwood forest. We went hiking in Muir Woods and Muir Beach and enjoyed a day at the California Academy of Sciences. We took another trip to Marin County and Napa. Our apartment is finally about 90% furnished.

Since I work from home I've been trying to convince my husband that I need a studio mate and by that I mean a pup. He's not 100% keen on the idea just yet and instead keeps me pleased by buying tons of plants. Our garden is starting to feel like a small child - ok maybe that's an exaggeration but we've been spending a lot of time on the weekends tending to it - something we could have never done in our last apartment.

It's really starting to feel like home here and I absolutely love it. Now if we could only convince our families to move here...

With wedding season just around the corner, I have a ton of work to do this weekend. I have been very fortunate lately to find clients that give me a hint as to what they are looking for and then just let me run with it. A designer's dream. I hope you have a lovely weekend!

Weekend Bits

Cable-car Riding, Dinner, Drinks, and Birthday Celebrating at The Tonga Room, Wine Tastings in Napa, In-N-Out Burger, a 5 mile walk, the Montclair Farmer's Market, Kite Flying (more pictures of that later) and to top it all off - a 4.0 earthquake at 5:45am this morning. It was quite the weekend!

Hello, my name is Erin and I am addicted to plants. This weekend we started our garden, went on a hike in a Redwood Preserve, went to the Oakland Farmer's Market, finished projects for a few of my clients and ate some delicious Greek food. Overall it was a great weekend. How was yours?

It was another beautiful weekend of SF Bay Area exploration. We fell in love with Sausalito and I'm pretty sure we're falling in love with California. Hope you had a lovely weekend!

This morning Brett and I took our California driver's test and we both passed! So now we're officially California residents. It's been a good 5 years since I took any kind of test so I'll admit my palms were a little sweaty. Hope you had a great weekend!

This is a photo of our neighbors garden. I found it while running through my neighborhood this week. I saw it and stood in awe. Some of the plants look straight out of Dr. Seuss. I had a slight plant obsession while living in Brooklyn but now that I can grow things all year long and have more space, I'm a little worried this obsession might get even more serious.
